A one of a kind program in the country developed by SVRC Industries, Inc. and the Saginaw Intermediate School District to provide temporary transitional housing to post-secondary students. The free standing building provides housing for up to eight (8) developmentally and disabled students most likely to be able to live independently. While living at the facility, students will receive education and training for daily living skills.
The 6,773 square foot building consists of five 2-bedroom handicapped accessible units with a community room, activity room and shared laundry.
Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Certified by the US Green Building Council, the facility has drought tolerant landscaping, geo-thermal heating, cooling, and water heating. Products are regionally produced, recycled and rapidly renewable.
