SAGINAW, Mich. - WTA ARCHITECTS (WTA), a full-service architectural firm located in Saginaw, Michigan, recently promoted Bruce Martin from “Business Development – Education Leader” to “Business Development Director”.
With over 33 years in public education, Martin has built a career centered on leadership, relationship-building, and creating opportunities for success. After retiring as Superintendent of the Saginaw Township Community Schools nearly three years ago, he joined WTA part-time and has become a trusted resource for clients and community partners. His passion for connecting people, commitment to service, and deep understanding of WTA’s mission make him the natural candidate to step into this role.
Furthermore, as the new Business Development Director, Martin’s extensive experience within the Great Lakes Bay Region will be critical to nurturing existing partnerships and opening new doors for the firm.
According to Martin: “This opportunity perfectly blends my desire to serve others, promote an extremely talented and creative ensemble of professionals, and assist our clients in solving problems with their environments. I truly miss the K-12 world, and this position allows me to stay connected to the amazing work being done in our school districts. Adding other fields to my responsibilities has been a wonderful learning experience. Bringing people together has been one of my favorite aspects of my career pathway to this point. I’m really excited to see where this new opportunity will lead.”
Martin assumed his new role on July 13, 2026. He succeeds Wendy Zolinski, who recently accepted a position with another firm.
“Promoting Bruce to this role was a natural choice,” said Paul Haselhuhn, President. “I have developed a tremendous respect for Bruce’s character, work ethic, and talent. He has consistently demonstrated an ability to build meaningful relationships and create opportunities for our firm. I am confident he will exceed expectations and excel in this new leadership role.”
