Castle Museum of Saginaw County

Saginaw, MI, USA

Project Description

The Castle Museum was designed in 1896 and operated as a Federal Post Office until the 1930s. After an extensive renovation in 1937 and updating in the 1970s, the Castle is now home to the Historical Society of Saginaw County.

WTA ARCHITECTS has been involved in the renewal process with the design of the Morley Room that is used extensively for groups and large meetings. WTA ARCHITECTS was also responsible for Centennial Hall, one of the main exhibition rooms in the museum. A new entrance plaza highlighting a map of Saginaw County was completed as well.
