Project Description
WTA ARCHITECTS designed the restoration of this 1954 Mid-Century Modern, Alden B. Dow designed library. Great care was taken in the restoration of existing finishes throughout the library, as well as adding a revived color scheme of new carpet, counters, furniture, signage and paint.
Toilet rooms were modernized and to include high efficiency fixtures. Acoustical issues were addressed and energy efficient LED lighting was added.
Exterior windows & doors were replaced with units that reflected the original design and improved thermal comfort and efficiency. The team took great care to restore the glass surround on the awning to replicate the buildings original burnished copper appearance.
