Project Description
Jackson City Hall was originally constructed as a bank building in 1927. It was designed in the Art Deco Style popular at the time. The City of Jackson has
occupied the fourteen story building for over twenty years.
WTA completed a study to extensively renovate the entire 51,000 square foot building.
All occupants were moved to temporary housing while reconfiguration of departments and locations were extensively evaluated. The interior underwent
major renovations creating open, more efficient and flexible offices using systems furniture. The building is now equipped with modern HVAC systems, new electrical and state of the art technology. The masonry exterior of the building was fully restored. Windows were replaced with energy efficient units and a new roof was applied.
New finishes afford the employees and public a pleasant environment in which they can undertake the business of the City.
