Mackinac Island Comfort Station

WTA provided a thoughtful redesign that aims to provide visiting boaters with access to clean and well-maintained facilities, creating a welcoming environment for their stay. To ensure a warm welcome, the updated design goes beyond basic restroom facilities, offering showers, changing areas, and other conveniences that have become integral to the harbor’s services.

The project presented unique logistical challenges during the construction phase, requiring all materials to be shipped or flown to the island. Despite these challenges, the revamped comfort station stands as a testament to WTA’s commitment to enhancing the visitor’s experience on Mackinac Island.
