Project Description
WTA was contracted by the Bay City Downtown Development Authority to create a waterfall pocket park where Third Street meets the Saginaw River for residents and visitor to enjoy.
The park consists of a 4,340 s.f. landward plaza with seating, landscaping, and performance area, a 640 s.f. fountain and waterfall, and a 3,360 s.f. multiple use fi shing and observation deck that extends over the river.
Area parking spaces were adjusted to accommodate the incoming traffic that would visit the waterfall park and surrounding businesses.
Ambient lighting was added to make the space usable during the evening hours.
