PROJECT INFORMATION

The College of Science, Engineering, and Technology at SVSU incorporates a major addition to and renovation of the existing Pioneer Hall, a mid-1970s rectangular brick structure. The new design transformed the building with facade renovations and new fully glazed engineering lab spaces that showcase the specialized programs to the entire campus. In addition to new labs, instructional spaces, and a foundry, the second floor of the addition is mainly comprised of offices for the dean and staff, and includes meeting and gathering spaces.

The project was Mid-Michigan's first LEED Certified project that received a Silver Rating from the U.S. Green Building Council.

WTA staff were responsible for all phases of the project including LEED design, development, points documentation, and certification assistance.
