PROJECT INFORMATION

​

The existing facilities were deteriorating and did not meet the needs of the highly technical programs being offered at the college.
Infrastructure concerns and HVAC upgrades were required to ensure continued
accreditation of the highly successful programs.

​

Building improvements were incorporated to enhance both student and public accessibility, 
as well as toilet room upgrades, signage, site lighting, and upgrades to the emergency/
essential power and lighting systems.

​

The project came in under budget, allowing
the college to address additional work that was completed in 2015.

​

The project received LEED Gold certification with many green features, one of which is a rainwater harvesting system that feeds an 
underground cistern that provides gray water to the building’s water closets. The gray water also provides irrigation for the Nedlaw Living Wall – an interior, vertical planting that is integrated into the HVAC system and uses bio-filtration to remove VOCs from the 
building’s air supply.
