Job Title: Financial Manager

Full-Time | Salaried | May, 2023

 

Job Description:

WTA Architects is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, detail oriented individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of the accounting cycle, including preparation of
financial statements, payroll, budgeting, and year‐end close. Additionally, experience with human
resource management such as employee onboarding and benefit renewal is preferred. Our ultimate
candidate is one who is team‐oriented, proactive, and able to multi‐task in a fast‐paced environment.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an accurate system of accounting by setting comprehensive controls and documenting
    processes

  • Process accounts payable and receivable

  • Process payroll including tax and liability payments and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual
    payroll tax filings, W‐2s, 1099s, and employment verifications

  • Process 401k transmissions and maintain employee records

  • Responsible for the reconciliation of the company’s cash and deposit accounts

  • Monthly financial statement preparation including benchmarking and expense report preparation
    and payment

  • Preparation, maintenance, and presentation of budget

  • Preparation of draft invoices and consultant invoices for projects, generate final invoices to clients
    and send in a timely manner

  • Work with CPAs on annual closeout including gathering and transferring required annual reports

  • Meet with and maintain positive working relationships with staff, clients, and outside professional
    services, including auditors, CPA firm, financial institutions, etc.

  • Responsible for effectively handling all business and health insurance‐related audits and renewals

  • Responsible for computer set‐ups for new employees, software renewals and distribution, and
    preventative IT maintenance and upgrades as needed

  • HR administration for all new and current employees

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field..

  • 5-7 years of accounting and/or financial experience.

  • Superior attention to detail

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects

  • Self-motivated and self-directed

  • Ability to work close with Partners and staff

  • Extensive understanding of finance trends, financial statistics, and accounting principles

  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite products

Job Title: Construction Administrator / Project Manager

Full-Time | Salaried | In-person | May, 2023

 

Job Description:

WTA Architects is seeking an experienced Construction Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing construction administration support on projects in collaboration with project leadership. We will rely on you to protect design intent and the Owner's vision throughout the construction process. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, strict attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with all members of the project team.

Responsibilities:

  • Through onsite observation, the CA keeps the owner informed as to the progress and quality of the construction work and determines that the work is being performed in a manner consistent with the contract documents.

  • Communicate with all project participants, internal staff, consultants, clients, owners, contractors, and jurisdictions in an effective and collaborative manner.

  • Establish a schedule and perform periodic visits to the project sites to review the progress and quality of the work and its compliance with the contract documents and provide written site reports for the project team.

  • Represent the firm in meetings during the construction phase and maintain an appropriate level of visibility with the owner and contractor.

  • Oversee the shop drawing and RFI processes, providing review and responses in coordination with appropriate project architects and engineers on the project.

  • Requires frequent travel to project jobsites, as required, dependent on project construction schedules.

  • Assist in Proposal Documents distribution, organize and participate in contractor selection interviews, and prepare responses and clarifications on Proposal Documents.

  • Participate in contractor negotiations as needed.

  • Manage project documentation and maintain accurate records of all project-related activities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or related curriculum.
  • At least 5 years of experience in construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License along with a driving record acceptable to the Company's insurance carrier.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Job Title: Healthcare Architect

Job Description:

WTA Architects is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, talented individual with experience in architectural design, contract documents and specifications related specifically to healthcare projects. Candidates should have a good understanding of the different diagnostic modalities, and also have knowledge of medical planning and modern healthcare delivery. Candidates should possess the experience of coordinating the work of not only architectural and engineering services but also those of equipment venders. Managing internal coordination meetings as well as client meetings and reviews with various governmental agencies for code compliance will also be the responsibility of the successful candidate.

 
Qualifications:
  • A professional degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university required.
  • Architectural license in the State of Michigan preferred. If not already licensed, candidates need to have a goal of becoming registered within 3 years.
  • Experience in an architectural firm focusing on healthcare projects.
  • Proficiency in the use of the most recent versions of AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of SketchUP.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Job Title: Architectural Draftsperson
Full-Time | Hourly | April, 2023 
Job Description:
WTA Architects is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, talented individual to join our team. Candidates will work primarily as part of a project team and undertake a variety of assignments including providing support for initial project setup with workflow documents. Supports daily model management administration and maintenance. Supports and contributes to the creation of content, architectural documents, collaborating with project team members, and implementing the application of standard architectural techniques on a variety of projects.
 
Qualifications:
  • An associate degree in some level of architectural technology is preferred.

  • Proficiency in the use of the most recent versions of AutoCAD and Revit.

  • Knowledgeable in the use of SketchUP and Adobe CS preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
