PRESS RELEASE - Wigen Tincknell Meyer & Associates, is kicking off its sixty-seventh year in business with a new name, new brand and new website. The new Wigen Tincknell Associates Architects—or officially, WTA Architects—reflects a firm more refined in their people and processes.

“Our new name, WTA Architects, is cleaner and more concise, which aligns with one of our firm’s core beliefs of efficiency in process and design,” remarks Kurt Fogelsonger, the firm’s president.

“The name celebrates the careers of our founding partners, Fred Wigen and Les Tincknell; and after five generations of ownership, acknowledges the very talented group of associates that makes WTA Architects what we are today,” adds Fogelsonger.

Along with the new name, WTA Architects has introduced a new logo, suite of identity materials, and launched a new website—wtaarch.com—which features many of the firm’s award-winning and LEED-certified projects.

“The rebranding process has been energizing and cathartic. It has further unified our team and compelled us to examine and improve many aspects of the firm, which ultimately translates to even better architectural design and planning services for the clients and communities we serve,” notes Fogelsonger.

In one of their most recent projects, the Health & Wellness wing on Delta College’s main campus, WTA Architects redesigned the 88,000-square-foot F-Wing to accommodate today’s advanced learning methods and technology. As part of the redesign, the project team took the initiative to incorporate many “green” features, including a rainwater harvesting system that provides gray water to the building’s water closets. The project is currently on-track to meet or exceed LEED Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

An established fixture in the mid-Michigan business community, WTA Architects serves clients in a variety of industries, including healthcare, education, government, and historic preservation.
