A New Wave of Excitement!
Zehnder's Splash Village Hotel & Waterpark located in Frankenmuth, Michigan continues to set the industry standard with its latest water park addition making it the only indoor water park in Michigan with a retractable roof. WTA Architects partnered with the Zehnder Group to provide architectural design services and assist with the construction administration process for this $20M expansion. The new area is housed in an atrium-style structure and includes a retractable roof that gives the space an indoor-outdoor feel year round.
The additions and renovations added 30,000 square feet of new space and upgraded amenities including:

A Super Loop Speed Slide & Tantrum Twist 4-person raft ride

The Action River - an enhanced, faster paced version of Splash Park's Lazy River

A 20-person hot tub

32 additional guest rooms - 22 of which have panoramic views of the new water park

Mushroom Grille eatery
The new area expands the hotel and water park to 50,000 total square feet that includes Splash Park which opened in 2005 and is geared toward the water park's younger patrons. Splash Park offers the Lazy River, 400-gallon dumping bucket and a 4-story tube slide. Together both parks will make for a family experience that has something for everyone!
